Message Last night was opening night(track had been closed for some renovation) and it was packed. Got there at 7pm, waited on line, and didn't get to run till 9:30pm. I always knew my clutch sucked, and now I know for certain. This is my first time, I'm nervous, and go figure they put me next to an older bad ass muscle car that runs 10's. Just a little intimidating, I couldn't even hear my own car running, his was so loud. The light goes green, I launch @ 4k and my rpms keep going as my car slowly goes. So I let off hoping it will catch, and give it gas again, car reving and still not going very fast. So I just shift to 2nd, I think it was @30mph, and the same thing, engine racing while car isn't. So I let the rpms drop a bit give it gas, no catch, do it again, and it finally starts to catch, I take it to about 6.5k and shift to 3rd and pretty much was the end. Here's my slip:

does that suck or what,I was hoping for @15.5. that didn't happen

Car still works for regular driving, but will probably slip if I run it to hard. So time for a new clutch. I usually like to DIY, but I think I'll leave it up to a mech. to do this for me. So about how much $$ in labor does that job usually run, with the rear seal too. Thanks
